Eneko Atxa is the man behind Azurmendi in Bilbao, the three Michelin-starred restaurant voted one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Born and bred in the Basque region of Spain, Eneko is immensely proud of his local cuisine. His London debut, Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar offers a simpler more relaxed menu which is deeply rooted in traditional Basque cooking. Eneko Axta won 'Best Entrepreneur' at the GQ Spain Men of the Year Awards 2017.

Javi opened Eneko London with Eneko Atxa in September 2016 and became Head Chef in July 2017. He’s thrilled to develop menus with chef Eneko which celebrate the Basque Country’s traditional dishes with a modern touch. Javi was born in Spain and studied at Le Cordon Bleu, Madrid. Since then he’s worked with the best in the business, including his mentor Diego Guerrero at two Michelin star El Club Allard, Madrid, Philip Howard and Gary Foulkes at the two Michelin star The Square, London and Rainer Becker & Hamish Brown at Roka, London.
